[Admissions] Can I be accepted even if I have no experience and am a prospective undergraduate graduate?

The ratio varies slightly each year depending on the applicants, but on average, there are more than four full-time students who enter the master’s program directly from the undergraduate program.

Full-time students will assist professors with their research after admission and receive a stipend for research support each month, along with scholarships each semester.

Therefore, if you have a strong commitment and passion for your studies, you can definitely be accepted even without prior experience, so we encourage you to apply.

[Admissions] Can I apply to the International School of Urban Sciences even if I am not a major in the field?

Regardless of your major, you can apply for the master’s program if you have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of education (including those expected to obtain their degree in February of the admission year).

[Admissions] What are the special features of the graduate school?

∎ Practical training for discovering and executing overseas projects (2-year [4-semester] program)

∎ Various scholarships provided, including in-house scholarships and entrusted scholarships

∎ Full-time students are given opportunities to participate in research activities and stipend-related tasks.

∎ Saturday classes offered (morning/afternoon)

∎ Curriculum offered for obtaining a public–private partnership (PPP) certification

∎ Operating institution for ODA Overseas Policy Consultant training program

∎ Building a human network with officials from contracting authorities in 56 countries

∎ Eligible to take English lectures for international master’s programs (daytime)

∎ Many students have been admitted from leading domestic companies, including government officials, public institutions, construction companies, and architectural firms.

[Admissions] Can I apply for a leave of absence in my first registered semester?

New students can apply for a leave of absence for personal reasons only after completing one semester following their admission.

However, it is possible to take a leave of absence for military service due to compulsory duty and for illness (with a medical certificate attached).

[Admissions] If I have obtained a bachelor’s degree through the credit bank system, can I submit a certificate of degree instead of a graduation certificate?

You can submit the original degree certificate and transcript from the credit bank system.
