Purpose
The UOS Health Center contributes to maintaining and promoting health through disease prevention, early detection, and treatment for the health of the university community members to "lead a healthy university life." It is equipped with a medical office and a rest area, providing all health services free of charge.
Main tasks
- Disease management
- Professional consultation and medication through medical examinations by a university physician (family medicine specialist from Dongbu Hospital)
→ 14:00–16:00 (every Thursday; excl. vacation season)
※ Schedule may change due to changes in Dongbu Hospital's schedule
- Provide over-the-counter medications and emergency trauma treatment to prevent health deterioration
- Operate a rest area to provide a space for relaxation
- Lend medical assistive devices such as crutches and wheelchairs for convenience
- Provide prompt first aid and arrange 119 emergency transport in case of emergencies
- Student health examinations
- For national health examination subjects aged 20 and over, additional ultrasound/gastroscopy examinations are conducted through external designated examination institutions in addition to the national free examination items to help with health management
- Metabolic syndrome management
- Blood pressure, blood sugar, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density cholesterol, low-density cholesterol, body composition test are used to actively identify metabolic syndrome to prevent chronic diseases and improve self-health management ability
