Educational objectives
Core objectives | In the 21st century, not only fine arts but also practical design disciplines develop systematically. In short, it goes beyond simple function and sensory realms, with human imagination and creativity interacting complexly with intellectual elements. This becomes an important mutuality with interdisciplinary exchanges and connections with adjacent disciplines such as humanities, natural sciences, and engineering. Based on this, this department aims to activate the convergence of academic systems based on modern sculpture and design majors, and to improve the creative cultural prosperity of fine arts and design as its educational goal. |

Majors (track)
Modern Sculpture | Analysis of the characteristics and development of modern sculpture since the 20th century through aesthetics and art theory. Also, research in the understanding of contemporary art concepts and on-site practices to systematize them academically and improve individual artwork production skills. It has a core goal of nurturing sculptors who lead contemporary art in the 21st century. |

Industrial Design | 1. Convergence
Industrial design focuses on research on future-oriented complex and convergent creation, leading creative, experimental, and challenging environmental design, and cultivating the ability to solve various design problems that can arise in cultural life and public spaces with creative perspectives and experimental methods In addition, it aims to nurture creative and specialized designers as active organizers leading the changes of the times, and to improve leadership qualities in the design field through re-education and continuing education of independent managers engaged in design-related work in industries, institutions, and organizations. |
Visual Design | 1. Convergence
The Visual Design major consists of the Communication Design field for effective information delivery and the Digital Contents Design field for utilizing new media in the information age. In response to the demands of the era where new media are continuously developed and the amount of information is explosively increasing, it aims to improve adaptability to various media to develop practical skills as designers and cultivate leadership as design educators and art directors who can adapt to and lead new trends. |
