Early graduation

Eligibility

  • Students who have a GPA of 4.0 or higher until the 5th or 6th semester and can earn the required minimum credits for graduation during the remaining semester(s) (one semester).

    Excludes students with academic warnings, students subjected to disciplinary actions under Article 85 of the UOS Regulations, and students who are on leave of absence under Article 74 of the UOS Regulations.

Application method and period

  • Apply via the UOS portal according to the announcement from the Office of Academic Affairs.

    Students who took a leave of absence and plan to return in the semester may apply.

Application procedure

  • Fill out the application (UOS portal) → Preliminary approval and recommendation from the department head and college dean
    → Selection and notification of candidates (Office of Academic Affairs)

Academic criteria

  • Among students selected for the early graduation program, those who have a GPA of 4.0 or higher for all courses taken during the 6th or 7th semester and have submitted a graduation thesis with an S grade in the thesis review (applies to students graduating in August 2011) and have met the certification criteria under the graduation qualification certification system. (For students graduating from February 2012 onwards, they can choose between the graduation thesis or graduation qualification certification system.)

Loss of early graduation eligibility

  • After being selected for early graduation, the student will lose eligibility for early graduation if
    • The student is subjected to disciplinary actions under Article 85 of the UOS Regulations
    • The student takes leave of absence under Article 74 of the UOS Regulations
