Core objectives |
The goal is to cultivate urban experts who can theoretically research and analyze the causes and characteristics of various problems in modern cities (administration and finance, housing and land, urban planning and redevelopment, urban information management, etc.), and propose policies for their resolution. To cultivate experts with theoretical and practical specialized knowledge related to urban administration, the curriculum is organized into general major-advanced major (applied) stages, and case-centered courses are offered. |
Detailed objectives |
- Strengthen basic major competencies: Information literacy, expression skills, research and inquiry skills
- Cultivate field expertise: Case-centered research orientation for accumulation of specialized knowledge and cultivation of analytical and logical inquiry skills, monthly expert seminars, joint project implementation
- Develop problem-solving skills: Case-centered knowledge, communication, and discussion skills as core elements
- Link various academic activities: Link educational programs with metropolitan administration seminars, international academic exchanges, special lecture programs, urban administration forums, and academic meetings among department members
- Strengthen cooperation system: Hold joint workshops for faculty and graduate students, share and jointly manage department resources
