General admission degree programs

Master
  • Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree from domestic or foreign universities or those expected to obtain a degree upon completion of the current registered semester
  • Individuals recognized as having equivalent or higher academic qualifications under relevant laws
Combined master's/doctorate's program
  • Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree from domestic or foreign universities or those expected to obtain a degree upon completion of the current registered semester
  • Individuals recognized as having equivalent or higher academic qualifications under relevant laws
Doctorate
  • Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree from domestic or foreign universities or those expected to obtain a degree upon completion of the current registered semester
  • Individuals recognized as having equivalent or higher academic qualifications under relevant laws
Eligibility for master's/doctorate's
Support for North Korean defectors
  • Individuals qualified to apply for master's or doctorate's program
  • Individuals registered as North Korean defectors pursuant to the North Korean Defectors Protection and Settlement Support Act

Additional eligibility requirements and submission documents

  • Written examination in major-specific English
  • Submission of official foreign language proficiency test scores recommended

Minimum publication requirements for doctoral dissertation

  • At least one paper published as first author in a journal listed (or candidate) by the National Research Foundation of Korea
  • Or at least one paper published in SCI(E), SSCI listed journals regardless of author rank
