General admission degree programs

Master's degree
  • Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree from domestic or foreign universities or those expected to obtain a degree upon completion of the current registered semester
  • Individuals recognized as having equivalent or higher academic qualifications under relevant laws
Doctorate's degree
  • Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree from domestic or foreign universities or those expected to obtain a degree upon completion of the current registered semester
  • Individuals recognized as having equivalent or higher academic qualifications under relevant laws
Eligibility for master's/doctorate's
Support for North Korean defectors
  • Individuals qualified to apply for master's or doctorate's program
  • Individuals registered as North Korean defectors pursuant to the North Korean Defectors Protection and Settlement Support Act

Additional eligibility requirements and submission documents

  • Submission of additional documents that can support the contents of the application form is recommended
  • Essential to check the program guide in the Graduate School notices on the Business School website (biz.uos.ac.kr)

Minimum publication requirements for doctoral dissertation

  • At least one paper published as first author in a journal listed (or candidate) by the National Research Foundation of Korea
  • Or at least one paper published in SCI(E), SSCI listed journals regardless of author rank

Graduate school operating principles

  • Based on the completion of undergraduate courses in statistics and analysis, in-depth learning of research methodologies and knowledge in respective specialized majors
  • Program conducted with weekday daytime classes (for full-time students)
