▶ 72nd Urban Infra Forum ◀
Urban Infra Forum(UIF) is a monthly seminar of ISUS.
The seminar is a discussion forum on urban sciences covering contemporary issues on urban development, construction and infrastructure development, environmental policies, and international cooperation. Regular audience includes faculty and students of ISUS and members of University of Seoul are also invited. This Forum has served as a platform for
international networking and mutual learning among public-private and Korean and international experts.
In the 72nd Forum, Dahae PARK, current Senior Programme Specialist at the UNESCO International Centre for Water Security and Sustainable Management(i-WSSM), will speak about "Water and Gender - The Key Role of Water" We are looking forward to your participation to this online event.

-Lecture Summary :
25 years after the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and 10 years to the end-date of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the international community carried out great efforts to address gender-related achievements and challenges in the water domain. Simultaneously, women are shown to be underrepresented in terms of employment and participation to water-related decision-making at all levels.
In light of this, this lecture aims to raise broad awareness on water and gender issues with importance of water in sustainable development, but particularly urges leaders and key decision-makers to break with business-as-usal with a set of recommended actions to advance gender equality in the water domain.
