1. Undergraduate

Except for departments that conduct practical exams, all other departments evaluate 100% based on document review.

Departments conducting practical exams: School of Architecture (architecture major), Department of Industrial Design, Department of Music, and Department of Environmental Sculpture

→ There will be a document evaluation, practical test, and in-depth interview.

2. Graduate School

For the general graduate school, an oral examination (practical test) is conducted for those who pass the document screening by department.

The oral examination is conducted face-to-face in principle, but in special cases (e.g., applicants abroad), it may be replaced with a telephone interview.

Failure to attend the oral examination (practical test) will result in disqualification.

Expired TOPIK score reports are not accepted.

Only valid TOPIK score reports as of the online application deadline are accepted, so please be sure to apply with this in mind.

The University of Seoul only recognizes scores from its own Korean language program.

Scores from other universities' language programs are not recognized, so if you don't have a TOPIK score report, you cannot apply.

All documents, including the TOPIK score report, must be submitted within the document submission period.

Also, since you need to upload the TOPIK score report during the online application, please apply for the next semester.

This refers to a document that shows how many credits are required to graduate from the department you attended at the school you attended before transferring to the University of Seoul.

You must submit a document that clearly states the graduation credit requirements, such as from the previous university's website or department materials, and it must be in Korean or English.

* If you have graduated from your previous university, you don't need to submit this. If you have completed courses or are currently enrolled, you must submit it.

Transfer students enter as either second-year or third-year students.

The department you applied to will review your documents and make a final decision on whether you will transfer as a second-year or third-year student

You will be notified of this decision by email after acceptance.

If you are currently in the second semester of your second year at another four-year university, you cannot apply for the special transfer admission for international students.

Only applicants who have completed at least two years at a university and have earned credits meeting the university's completion criteria (1/2 of graduation credits) can apply for transfer admission.

Students currently enrolled in a junior college cannot apply.

If you look at the eligibility section of the eligibility requirements content in the recruitment guidelines, for two/three-year junior colleges in Korea or abroad, you can apply after graduation.

Please apply when you have your graduation certificate and can submit it within the document submission period.

You can submit balance certificates from up to two banks.

However, the account holder's name must be the same for both banks.

1. The total must be USD 20,000 (twenty thousand dollars) or more.

2. The account holder must be the applicant or the applicant's parents.

3. Only original documents issued in English by the bank within 30 days of the document submission date are accepted.

4. Copies of bank passbooks are not accepted.

You can also submit in currencies other than USD, such as KRW (Korean won), VND (Vietnamese dong), JPY (Japanese yen), CNY (Chinese yuan), etc.

The bank balance certificate must show at least USD 20,000 (twenty thousand dollars), so we calculate the exchange rate to confirm if it exceeds 20,000 dollars.

If the amount is insufficient, you may be excluded from document screening, so please make sure it exceeds USD 20,000 when calculated at the exchange rate.
