The Exchange Professor Program is designed to promote academic and cultural exchanges and strengthen partnerships between the University of Seoul (UOS) and domestic and international universities. Under this program, professors are dispatched for a certain period to conduct lectures and research at UOS.

• Full-time faculty members (Assistant Professor or higher) at domestic or international universities, which have Exchange Scholar Agreement with UOS
• Must not have any disqualifying factors for appointment
• Under the age of 65

• Minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 1 year
• Up to 3 years if stipulated in an inter-university agreement

• Conduct lectures or research at UOS
• Participate in joint research with UOS faculty members
• Engage in educational activities such as laboratory experiments and practical training

• Up to 6 hours per week

• Salaries are paid by the home institution
• Lecture fees of KRW 40,000 per hour if lectures are conducted at UOS

• Eligible for reappointment up to twice (maximum cumulative period of 3 years)
• Evaluations based on teaching/research performance, contributions to the university, sincerity, and cooperation

• Visa documents support provided through the UOS Office of International Affairs
• Enrollment in four major social insurances (industrial accident insurance mandatory; others subject to work hours and visa type)
