How to Use Wifi on campus (Setting a wireless LAN password)

University of Seoul students, faculty and staff can use the following WiFi SSIDs:  'Member@UOS'



University of Seoul provides secure wireless LAN service using encryption method, and you can set a wireless LAN password in the following ways.


Log in to UOS portal - Click University Administration – Personal Information – University Administration Environment Setting – 

Password Setting – UOS WiFi Password Setting

UOS WiFi can be connected in the following ways, depending on the OS of the device.



 Android

  • (1) Go to "Settings" on your phone.
  • (2) Make sure WiFi is turned on and go to "WiFi" settings.
  • (3) Select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.
  • (4) If this is your first time connecting to a Wi-Fi network, you will be asked to enter some details. Make sure the following details are correct:

  • · EAP Method: PEAP
  • · CA certificates: Not specified (not authenticated)
  • · ID: UOS Portal ID
  • · Enter password: Password set in UOS Portal
  • · Automatically reconnect: On
  • · Advanced → 2-Step Verification: Select GTC









  • (5) Tap the "Connect" button and make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi.




 iOS


(1) Go to "Settings" on your phone.


(2) Go to "WiFi" settings.


(3) After enabling WiFi, select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.


(4) Enter the user name and password set in the university administrative information system and press the Connect button.


(5) Tap the 'Trust' button.


(6) Make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi.



★ Windows


(1) Click the network icon at the bottom of the desktop.


(2) Select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.


(3) Enter the user name and password set in the university administrative information system.


(4) Tap the "Connect" button and make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi.




★ Mac OS


(1) Click the icon in the picture below from the tray icon at the bottom of the desktop.


(2) Select "Member@UOS" among the available SSIDs.


(3) When the certificate confirmation window appears, click the 'Continue' button.


(4) Enter the username and password set in the university administrative information system, and then click the 'Connect' button.


(5) When the certificate confirmation window appears, click the 'Continue' button.


(6) Check whether you are connected to WiFi.
